A walk in the garden

I have been almost 10 years since I last visited the Singapore Botanic Gardens. With the SMRT Circle Line opened recently, I decided to take the chance and bring Mia for her first visit to the Botanic Gardens

The station new exit is on the other end of the garden near Duream Road . In the past most visitors if they are visiting by bus they will be entering from the main gate at Tanglin Road.

The garden undergo a series of upgrade for the past years and some areas are still in progress, there's an upcoming "Healing Garden" somewhere in the middle of the garden schedule to open soon also.

There's definietly much more visitors after the Circle Line stations opened, I think this is a good sign. But it also makes photography difficult sometimes, you simply don't have much chance to have a photo with no visitors in your shoot.

Of course you be won't missing out the beautiful flowers around the area, if you have the time to browse the garden section by section. You will be greeted with a variety of beautiful flowers as well as other habitats which found the garden as their home.

Mia of course won't miss her chance and embrace around with the flowers and scenery around.

It took us a really long time to reach the center area where the Orchid garden is, but as it is getting dark. We have no choice but to call it a day. On our way out we passed by The Bandstand ( http://www.sbg.org.sg/tanglincore/bandstand.asp ) and took a short break before we exit the garden by Tanglin Road.
