It took almost 20mins to dress Mia up. (I wonder how long does it take for a real person to dress up in a standard kimono...) and the results...slightly disappointed. The outcome was as good as the product photos, I think her obi a bit too low, and her kimono was not straighten nicely >_< so Mia end up looking a rounder than usual. (Mia : Hey!!!)
The shoots were with my new acquired remote flash trigger, for me it is still a lot of works still needed to make the lighting more balance. Have to invest some time to DIY some studio products (since most of my $$$ goes to Mia's new outfits and other figures >_<)
Shoots quality aside, the kimono pattern is really nice, and full of detail. Before I venture into dolls I always wonder why doll outfit could easily cost more than mine (and a few times more), I could understand the design and efforts to make them. But after getting a few cloths for Mia, I could really see the fine details taken into manufacturing these are actually quite amazing. (even these most are machine sewed)
Mia will be dressing up with her Kimono for the upcoming Orchid Show in Singapore, and possibility to CGM night if I am able to make it =)
i think her obi is just right though^^ yes, Nina's clothes costs more than mine too sometimes^^ i would luv to see more photos of her especially on the events^^
ReplyDeleteThanks =) Mia is exicted with the coming Orchird show since she loves shooting with flowers (just hope the event place got enough space for us) ^_^
ReplyDeleteWill try to bring her along to AFA11 also, but think most of the time I may be occupied shooting the cosplayers
